IFS Food Version 8: Progress with question marks - Our experience at Vertikett
Since the introduction of IFS Food Version 8, we at Vertikett have noticed many changes. Our customers are increasingly asking for solutions that meet the new requirements. One example is the desire for clear information on the traceability of the packaging materials used. Customers want to know exactly where the materials come from in order to meet transparency requirements. Another frequent request is for support in validating advertising claims such as “environmentally friendly” or “recyclable”.
These new requirements create trust and ensure that our products meet the highest standards. But there are also challenges: The increased effort to meet these requirements requires more time and resources.
Our industry is moving noticeably towards greater transparency and safety. But the question remains: are the strict requirements the right way to achieve these goals?
